Leaves of philodendron plants are typically green. However, they may be coppery, red, or purplish. Additionally, parallel leaf veins are usually green or sometimes red or white.
Furthermore, their size, shape, and leaf texture can vary considerably. Of course this can all depend on the species and age of the plant. Scientists are continually looking at plant relationships and at times reclassify plants. Occasionally, you will see some Philodendron species referred to as Thaumatophyllum.
