Sansevieria Hahnii Varieties (Dwarf Snake Plant)

Sansevieria Hahnii is a rare dwarf Snake Plant. In fact, a short growing form of Sansevieria Trifasciata. Commonly called Bird’s Nest’ and remains less than 12 inches (30 cm) tall. Because of its size it is just perfect for table and desk tops. Vase-like rosettes have spirally arranged, broad, elliptical leaves. This stemless perennial has a cacti-like appearance and comes in an array of greens, grey, yellow, and white.

Sansevieria Cylindrica Boncel | Starfish Snake Plant

Sansevieria Cylindrica Boncel is a more compact hybrid of Sansevieria Cylindrica. Commonly called Starfish Snake Plant, with its short, fat leaves that spread out like a fan. The name “starfish” comes from the fact that the plant looks like a starfish that has been planted halfway in soil. Like most succulent species, Starfish Sansevieria is easy to care for in addition to being very robust and strong. Grows to only 8 inches tall but when it blooms it will make 3′ flower spikes with pink and white flowers.

Sansevieria Trifasciata ‘Hahnii’ | Bird’s Nest Snake Plant

Sansevieria Trifasciata ‘Hahnii’ Snake Plant does look similar to a Golden Hahnii, but the leaves are dark green in color with light-green stripes. A dwarf variety, so it will not grow as tall as other snake plants commonly known as Laurentii or Zeylanica. This makes it a perfect candidate for those low light areas with space constraints. Also known as Bird’s Nest Snake Plant  as it grows in a rosette shape that will make babies right up against the main “mother” plant. Leaves are funnel shaped and form an elegant rosette of lush succulent foliage the size of a bird’s nest.
